Meet the Coaches

Tristan Caswell

Tristan brings a lifetime of passion for horses, and experience in the horse industry to the team at Stonehurst Stable.

Tristan competed in the Jr. Hunters as a child in BC, then travelled to Alberta for a degree in Equine Science as a young adult.

Horses then took her to Australia, where she worked and rode for both upper level Dressage Riders & Eventers.

Afterwards, she returned to Canada, & worked for Olympic Show Jumper, Jay Hayes. During this time she travelled all over North America on the FEI showjumping circuit.

Eventually, Tristan settled in Winnipeg Manitoba, became EC Certified as a Competition Coach Specialist, and developed her mobile equestrian training business "TC Equestrian".

Tristan is now a Coach Developer and Evaluator for Equestrian Canada, and enjoys helping fellow coaches grow and expand on their equestrian coaching journey.

Mya Oakley

Mya Oakley is a Winnipeg Girl, who has been riding and training Hunters & Jumpers for over 15 years.

Coach Mya is a hard-working, professional, and certified
Equestrian Canada Competition Coach.

Mya does a wonderful job with riders & horses of all ages.
With many Manitoba Hunter Jumper Year end Championships on numerous different horses, Mya really enjoys bringing along young Hunter/Jumper prospects.

Mya's calm, quiet demeanor gives both riders & horses the
confidence to grow and improve.

Her attention to detail makes sure a solid foundation is implemented for a safe and effective training program.

Horses & Riders can be assured a kind, positive learning environment with Mya, while they learn and progress.

Meet Katie

Our Newest Coach

Katie, the newest coach at Stonehurst, brings a wealth of knowledge and energy to our team. She excels in explaining concepts clearly, helping riders to improve both equitation and skills. She enjoys working with OTTBs and starting young horses. Katie's dedication and hard work make her an invaluable member of our stable.
